Pricing
You pay to review an episode. Everything after that is included.
No subscription. Credits are bought in packs and spent only when you ask for an analysis. Listening, changing your filters, and re-approving an episode you already reviewed cost nothing.
Prices are in US dollars and are charged by Apple through your App Store account. Credits do not expire while your account is open.
What an episode costs
One credit covers an hour. Longer episodes cost more because they genuinely cost more to transcribe and analyse — beyond the first hour, the price rises in half credits for each additional half hour started.
| Episode length | Credits |
|---|---|
| Up to 1 hour | 1 |
| 1 hour to 1 hour 30 | 1.5 |
| 1 hour 30 to 2 hours | 2 |
| 2 hours to 2 hours 30 | 2.5 |
| 2 hours 30 to 3 hours | 3 |
| Each additional half hour started | +0.5 |
A twenty-minute episode and a fifty-minute episode both cost one credit. You are shown the exact cost before you commit, and the price is worked out from the episode’s own published length rather than an estimate you type in.
What is included once an episode is analysed
Changing your filters
Switch rules on or off, keep individual passages, and adjust the boundaries around a cut as often as you like. The episode is not re-analysed and no credit is spent.
Approving for more children
One analysis covers your whole family. Approving the same episode for a second child costs nothing.
Listening and re-downloading
Playback, downloads, and re-downloading after a device is reset are all included.
When a credit is not spent
- An analysis that fails returns its credit. If processing cannot complete, the reserved credit goes back to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.
- An episode that cannot be fetched costs nothing. If the audio is not reachable or is not in a form the app can process, no credit is taken.
- You are quoted first. The cost is shown before you confirm, so a long episode cannot surprise you.
Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of your App Store account. Refunds are requested through Apple, and the app can take you to that request. A refunded pack’s credits are removed from your balance.
