Mattress Finder is an independent mattress search app operated by John Higgins. Contact: johnbhiggins7@gmail.com.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
The app contains no third-party analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.
The app stores a small amount of data locally so it remembers your activity between launches. This never leaves your device and we cannot see it:
| Stored | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Saved mattresses | Your shortlist |
| Recently viewed | Return to products you looked at |
| Onboarding state | So the intro shows only once |
Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no cloud backup of this data on our side.
The app reads mattress data from our catalog server (Supabase). Like any internet request, that connection includes your device's IP address and is recorded in standard server logs used to operate and secure the service. These logs are not used to build a profile of you and are not linked to any identity, because we do not hold one.
Product images are loaded from our storage and, in some cases, from the retailer's own image servers. Those servers may see your IP address as part of serving the image.
Selecting “Shop” or a buy button opens the retailer's website in your browser. At that point you leave Mattress Finder, and the retailer's own privacy policy and cookies apply. We do not control and are not responsible for what they collect.
Where we participate in an affiliate program, the link may carry a tag that tells the retailer the visit came from us so any commission is credited. This does not identify you to us, and we receive no personal information about your visit or purchase — only aggregate commission reporting.
Mattress Finder is intended for adults shopping for a mattress. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, no such data would be held.
Privacy laws including the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to return or delete — and we do not sell or share personal information, because we have none. Data stored on your device is under your control and is removed by deleting the app.
If you believe we hold information about you, write to the address above and we will respond.
Connections between the app and our servers use encrypted HTTPS. The app uses a read-only key that can only read the published catalog and cannot modify data.
If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
